Experience the rich and velvety taste of pure chocolate, the new and improved Klasique Tablea. Tablea is a Filipino name referring to chocolate liquor or pure chocolate.

BRIEF HISTORY

Touted as “food of the Gods,” chocolate, cacao drink was part of the Mayan and Incan civilization. And ithere is one advantage of Spanish colonization, bringing cacao seedlings into the Philippines. From then on, chocolate is a part of the Filipino culture and part of most childhood memories. Grandmas would prepare the chocolate from scratch and manually grind the chocolate. 

GROWING AND PACKAGING

This one-of-a-kind chocolate is made from 100% Fermented Trinitaro Cacao of Single-origin from the province of Davao. Processing of the seeds complies with export quality measures. Cacao seeds are fermented for 6 days before drying.

Fermentation is a crucial step in chocolate-making. The process breaks down the sugar in the pulp which help develop the chocolate flavor in the beans. Fermentation also reduces the phytic acid, an anti-nutrient, in cacao beans.

PACKAGING

To ensure freshness, our product is available is vacuum-sealed 250 grams, 500 grams, and 1 kilogram transparent packaging.  When left on a shelf, this can last at least 2 shelf. 

SOME HEALTH BENEFITS OF DARK CHOCOLATE

Dark chocolate are proven to improve health of individuals. Some of the nutritional benefits are:
1. It has 40 times more antioxidant than blueberries.
2. Cacao has the highest plant-based iron. At a whopping 7.3mg per 100g which shames the beef and lamb at 2.5mg, and spinach at 3.6mg.
3. Cacao has the highest plant-based source of magnesium. Magnesium is needed for over 300 functions in the cells. It is also needed for calcium absorption in the bones. Magnesium also benefits the heart and blood pressure.
4. More Calcium than cow’s milk.
Cacao has more calcium than cow’s milk would you believe, at 160mg per 100g vs only 125mg per 100ml of milk.
5. Cacao is an anti-depressant. Cacao is a great source of 4 proven “happiness chemicals” – serotonin, tryptophan, tyrosine & phenylethylamine. These chemicals are known to combat depression & are associated with the feeling of well-being.

Note: This tablea is super fine in quality (Imagine a Cadbury without any sweetness). It melts within seconds in your fingers.

Since Filipinos are fond of making sikwate, a local chocolate drink, we have just the perfect ratio for you. One chocolate bar is 25 grams (8 squares) and is ideal for 2 cups of water or 500mL.

This version of Klasique Tablea is also great for your baking needs.

3 Different preparations techniques for Sikwate:

Boiled Tablea
Boil 500 mL of water and add 1 bar of tablea (8 squares). Stir until melted or use a batirol. Add sugar and/or milk.

Hot Cup

Put 4 squares per cup. Add hot water on the cup and stir until tablea is melted. Add sugar and/or milk.

Icy Tablea

Boil 100 mL of water. Add 25 g (8 squares) of Klasique Tablea and stir until it dissolves. Add ice cubes, sugar and/or milk.
