Kissing Soap Goodbye

By Emerald Morgia

Thanks to Human Heart Nature’s Sunflower Seed Oil, I can go on for days without washing my face and without having to deal with breakouts. The only teenie weenie thing I wish for is that my facial skin would look more exfoliated. I mean, it looks okay. It looks healthy enough. But I can’t help but sometimes wish to have that poreless look that other girls have (who used synthetic chemicals).
Then that problem got solved. Thanks to my friend who professed about oat’s exfoliating property. This friend had just given birth, you see. I don’t want to scare you of after-birth horror stories. Maybe telling you of having to battle with hyper-pigmentation is enough. And so, this amazing friend tried oats. The effect it has on her is amazing. I just had to try it.
So how do I survive without soap and how do I go about it?

What you need:

  1. Oats. Any brand. Preferrably not the instant cooking type. You’ll need one teaspoon (or more) every session. Wet your face with water first. Get some oats and wet it with one teaspoon of water. Crush it in your hand until it becomes milky. Add water as needed. Apply gently on the face and neck. I prefer to leave it on for a few minutes until I can feel my face stretching. I then wet my hand with water and proceed to gently rub the oatmeal off my face before washing it away completely. Face feel soft and smooth afterwards.
  2. Human Hear Nature Sunflower Seed Oil. The SRP price of the 50ml is only 174.75. It can last for about a month if you use it on the face alone. (But I use pretty much everywhere. I used it on my armpit. On my skin. On my lashes to make longer. Everywhere. Btw, lessens dark spots too, you know). I simply squirt twice on my hand, rub my hands together (like in anticipation), and massage it on my still wet face and neck (remember I just exfoliated with oats so I don’t dry it with towel). Massage it well. It’s the loving thing to do to your face. Don’t forget to use your beauty finger! (the pinky). Once satisfied, use cotton to wipe off the excess oil. You’ll be amazed at how much dirt the oil is able to wipe off.Remember, oil dissolves oil. The sunflower oil is able to dissolve the oily dirt in your face. Repeat the process if you think it needs more cleaning. I usually repeat the process when I have applied make-up during the day.
  3. Human Heart Nature Day/Night Moisturizer. (Depending on your budget or your skin health, you can choose the pricier moisturizers of Human Nature and won’t regret it. They also have a money-back guarantee if you think your skin is not happy. No questions asked). The 50 mL moisturizers of Human Heart Nature is also P174.75. This can also last at least a month.

After letting the oil sit on my face for a minute or two, I then seal it off with a moisturizer. Then I’m done. I usually put my sunscreen and powder after this if I have to go out of the house. If not, I just hide from the sun and go skulking in the house.
Note: This beauty regimen happen in 5-10 minutes.
